Stagione sciistica

La stagione verrà prolungata fino al 26/04, meteo permettendo.

A Sella Nevea, dopo il 13/04, rimarrà in funzione la cabinovia del Canin e la seggiovia a monte.

Sabato 25 e Domenica 26, i gestori della Tana del Lupo, presso la Baita Alpi Giulie, organizzano la festa di fine stagione. Tutti invitati! Dettagli qui:

Lavori di collegamento

Subito dopo Pasqua dovrebbero ricominciare i lavori per il collegamento con Bovec, in Slovenia.

Ma come, direte voi, con tutta quella neve?

In effetti, dalla settimana dopo Pasqua i mezzi inizieranno a tagliare una strada per salire da Sella Nevea al Gilberti, tra la neve.

La strada è necessaria per approvvigionare il cantiere con i materiali.

La variante turistica del Canin verrà chiusa, mentre gli sciatori potranno continuare a scendere lungo l’agonistica.

Il bello verrà più avanti quando la medesima operazione dovrà essere compiuta per salire dal Gilberti fino a Sella Prevala.

Si stima che la neve cumulata nel vallone del Prevala potrebbe raggiungere un altezza di oltre 10 metri! F

Sci Alpinistica

La tradizionale sci Alpinistica del Canin si svolgerà il 13 Aprile.

La competizione risale al 1947 e quest’anno riproporrà l’abbinamento di due gare: una che si svolge con gli stretti da fondo e una con gli sci larghi da alpinismo, sci che ora si usano in quasi tutte le gare di questo tipo.

L'intero percorso misura 19,5 chilometri e prevede i passaggi per Sella Ursic e per il monte Forato, a quota 2.390, il punto più alto della gara, da cui si passerà in territorio sloveno per poi rientrare per Sella Prevala e ritornare al rifugio Gilberti prima della “picchiata” verso l'arrivo di Sella Nevea
